Day 1

From Bandaranayake International Airport, Colombo to Arie Lagoon, Negombo

  • You will be warmly welcome by our representative and safely accompanied to Arie Lagoon, Negombo for a relaxing night after the tiring flight. Afterwords you get ready to start your voyage here in Sri Lanka.
  • Negombo is a fishing town also known as “Little Rome” which is embedded by many Catholic devotees. You are assured to kick start your experience with mouthwatering cousins and vibrant night down by the nice beach.

Day 2

  • Wilpattu National Park is the largest and one of the oldest national parks in Sri Lanka. The unique feature of this park is the existence of “Willus” (natural lakes) – natural, sand-rimmed water basins or depressions that fill with rainwater.
  • The Ruwanweli Maha Seya, the Great Thupa is a stupa where Two quarts or one Dona of the Buddha’s relics are enshrined in the stupa, making it the largest collection of his relics anywhere in the world.
  • Sri Maha Bodhi temple is the center of tourist attraction in Anuradhapura. Buddhists from all over the world visit this place. The Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi remains standing and continues to be the oldest cultivated tree in the world with a documented written history.
  • Abhayagiri Vihāra was a major monastery site situated in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. The monastery complex was encircled by great walls and containing elaborate bathing ponds, carved balustrades and moonstones.

Day 3

  • The Gal Vihara is a rock temple of the Buddha situated in the ancient city Polonnaruwa. The central feature of the temple is four rock relief statues of the Buddha, which have been carved into the face of a large granite gneiss rock.
  • Statue of Parakramabahu I, located near the Pothgul Vehera in Polonnaruwa is a stone sculpture dating back to the Polonnaruwa period of ancient Sri Lanka.
  • Sigiriya is a world heritage site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of granite approximately 180 m (590 ft) high. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock, the gateway was built in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure; Siṃhagiri, the Lion Rock.
  • The water gardens at Sigiriya were built symmetrically on an east-west axis. There are three principal water gardens which were built possibly between the 10th and 13th centuries.

Day 4

  • Dambulla cave temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site. Dambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings.
  • The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country.
  • Kandy City Centre, commercial and shopping complex is designed with ultra-modern features yet preserving the iconic Kandyan architecture.
  • Kandyan dance incorporates various dance forms popular and native to the area called Kandy of the Central Hills region in Sri Lanka. You have chance to witness it.

Day 5

  • Labookellie Tea Centre is located in a scenic natural setting over 2000 m above sea level. Visitors can take a tour around the factory to learn about the tea making process and even purchase a wide variety of flavored tea.
  • Nuwara Eliya, called Little England, was a hill country retreat where the British colonialists could immerse themselves in their pastimes such as fox hunting, deer hunting, elephant hunting, polo, golf and cricket.
  • The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya is known for its temperate, cool climate – the coolest area in Sri Lanka
  • You can witness the beauty of Nuwara Eliya city during the city tour by observing Victoria Park, Golf Club, Post Office, Bale Bazaar, Adma Agro Strawberry Farm Shop and get the experience of Gregory Lake Boat Ride.

Day 6

  • Ambewela Farm is a hub of organic countryside activities in the pristine landscape of Ambewela hill station. The lush green fields, rugged mountains, and the bright blue sky gives Ambewela the title of ‘Little New Zealand’.
  • Kitulgala is considered one of the wettest places in Sri Lanka and is famous for its widely known adventure of White-water rafting.
  • Kitulgala is surrounded by wooden hills and has been splitter in to two by Kelani River. The town is also known for being the filming location of The Bridge on the River Kwai.
  • Around 20% of the total land area of Sri Lanka is reported to be potentially gem-bearing. This makes Sri Lanka possibly the densest gem bearing country in the world. You can observe the gem mining during the travel to Ambalama Leisure Lounge.

Day 7

Colombo City Tour may consist of:

  • Shaikh Usman Waliyullah Shrine the Dewatagaha mosque is one of the more prominent mosques in Colombo.
  • Lucia’s Cathedral, Kotahena named after and dedicated to the virgin and martyr saint Lucy, the cathedral is considered the oldest and largest parish cathedral in Sri Lanka.
  • Independent Memorial Hall is a national monument in Sri Lanka
  • Gangaramaya Temple is one of the most important temples in Colombo being a mix of modern architecture and cultural essence.

Day 8

  • After having the breakfast at Ambalama Leisure Lounge, you can proceed to Bandaranayake International Airport and Bon Voyage Sri Lanka.
